In his sophomore year of high school, sixteen-year-old Peter Newman meets the most impactful person in his life. The year older, April Nixon, and Peter immediately hit it off and have a short, but deeply impactful relationship. April takes Peter to his first party, to her wild and at times reckless way of life, and most importantly, April introduces Peter to pain, loss, and tragedy.
