David Turner was born in England and took degrees including a doctorate from University of London, followed by a Fellowship at The University of California at Berkeley and later an MBA from Columbia University, New York. He has lived for many years in the USA and longer still in Asia, both as a research scientist but latterly as a banker. But the fine arts and music - as a painter and on the piano - not to mention works of literature in several languages, have always been central to the author. He now resides in Singapore where he is married to a local Chinese and has one daughter. It is now in later life that he has chosen to stage the first of his offerings in The Collected Works, comprising his poetry written over the last seven years.
