Saffron Bruno is from Saint Charles, Illinois, and it was there that her creativity flourished. She has always been interested in nature, particularly bees. In her first short story, 'the color yellow, ' she wanted to express how depression affects young children specifically. A mood can change as quick as the seasons. With the right help and support, Saffron was able to overcome her struggles and find happiness in her art again.
