Within the present research project, the aim is to discover, analyze and understand the origin, success and general and specific admiration within a culture such as pop culture, as well as to identify the necessary aspects for the comic to become and transcend as a means of communication. The various results will show how the comic strip became part of a specific culture such as pop culture, a useful means of communication, and also an excellent space to express social issues such as racism, machismo, drugs or existentialism.
