Charlotte Hempel is Professor of Hebrew Bible and Second Temple Judaism and Head of the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion at the University of Birmingham, UK. She has published widely on the Dead Sea Scrolls including jointly with George Brooke The T&T Clark Companion to the Dead Sea Scrolls (2019) and served as Editor of Dead Sea Discoveries from 2012-2018.
