Michael L. Stange is a public transportation professional with over 40 years of experience. He began his career as a bus mechanic and retired from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority as the Executive Director of Maintenance. He has worked closely with the CHP Motor Carrier Specialists and Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Teams, has assisted in crash investigations, and is an expert in commercial vehicle law for public transit operators. He developed and teaches an 8-hour regulatory compli¬ance program for the transits and also provides the program, when requested, through the Southern California Regional Transit Training Consortium, the leading provider of transit training within the public transportation industry.
