Karen has always written stories and she loves to put something of her joy of living and love of family into her writing. She lives in beautiful New Zealand, near to the beach, along with her family and two cats. When her two children were young she home-schooled them for five years-their highlight being spending almost a year travelling around Europe together. Her time in Europe inspired her to write her middle grade series: The Crime Stopper Kid's Mysteries about a group of misfits and their adventures solving crimes in different European countries. She has also written a unicorn fantasy for 8-10 year olds who love a quest. It's called The Adventures of Crimson and the Guardian and focuses on a young orphan girl and the journey she takes towards her destiny with a talking, danger-loving unicorn named Crimson. Karen's short stories for children aged 5-9 years have been gathered into a collection called Cinderella Sarah. There are fairy tales, friendship stories, dinosaur adventures and more.
