The term coordination is omnipresent and people usually have a very good understand what it actually stands for. It is difficult to explain explicitly, though. Manfred Bortenschlager is post-doc researcher at the Mobile andWeb-based Information Systems Group of Salzburg Research. Hisresearch interests are focused on coordination models andmechanisms for pervasive information systems applied totelecooperative applications. He is involved in several (applied)research projects.
