As urbanization and environmental concerns grow, sustainable construction is vital. This book explores green building practices in Nigeria, particularly in Warri, Delta State, combining literature reviews and on-site studies at the Appropriate Technology Enabled Development (ATED) Center. A model of a 3-bedroom green residential building showcases principles of sustainable construction, emphasizing energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and effective water management. The use of sustainable materials limits resource depletion and waste. Economically, initial investments in green technologies lead to long-term savings and increased property value. Advanced engineering solutions improve indoor environmental quality, enhancing air quality, thermal comfort, and natural light.
