L'autore è docente di Diritto presso il Dipartimento di Diritto Internazionale e Islamico della Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell'Università dello Stato di Lagos, Ojo, Stato di Lagos, Nigeria. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Giurisprudenza. Il libro è un lavoro di ricerca che esamina il concetto e le pratiche dei diritti islamici tra i musulmani degli Stati occidentali della Nigeria.
