Simon Lee is Senior Lecturer in Politics and a Director of the Centre for Democratic Governance at the University of Hull, UK. His previous books include Best for Britain: The Politics and Legacy of Gordon Brown and (co-edited with Stephen McBride), Neo-Liberalism, State Power and Global Governance. Matt Beech is Senior Lecturer in Politics and Director of the Centre for British Politics at the University of Hull. He has written widely on the Labour Party, the Conservative Party and the Conservative-Liberal Coalition. His books include, The Political Philosophy of New Labour; he is co-author of Labour's Thinkers and co-editor of The Brown Government and The Struggle for Labour's Soul.   They also edited the Palgrave Macmillan bestseller Ten Years of New Labour earlier this year.
