Autorenporträt
Joshua Meeking was born in October, 2001, in London, England. At the age of three, he moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne with his mother, Gillian, and has lived there ever since. He has always been compelled by storytelling, whether it's through film, prose, theatre, or even through professional wrestling or video games like Red Dead Redemption II. By eighteen, he published his first book, Isolation - The Story of Isabella Rose-Eccleby, which was released in 2020. At first, it was a passion project based on his GCSE Drama devised piece of the same name, believing the story could be something more. It was then that he realised writing was what he wanted to do with his life, and in 2022 he released The Corrupt - A Castlehead Novel, the first official book of the Castlehead Novel series. A couple of inspirations include Stephen King and the stories told by Pixar Animation Studios. While studying English Literature with Creative Writing at Newcastle University, Joshua never stopped writing in his spare time, completing two full manuscripts during the three-year course. As long as the ideas keep coming, he's never going to stop writing books. He doesn't want to be tied down to one genre, either, working on a plethora of stories appropriate for various ages and various tastes. He likes to test himself and experiment with new ideas that may or may not work, and he can't wait for what the future holds.
