Losing part of its wing, Air Force One couldn't be controlled by the pilots any longer and started rolling onto its back and headed into a dive toward the ground. In the last seconds aboard the aircraft, both pilots realized they were about to die and started praying. Air Force One hit the ground at 300 knots, killing everybody aboard on impact. The once-majestic bird that was the epitome of the political free world was nothing more than a wounded bird that had died. The president's capsule was eventually located by its tracking signal, intact and empty, about a mile away from the crash site. All indications were that the president was still alive, which was the only good news that they had so far. With the president nowhere to be found around the capsule, all eyes were now focused on finding out just where he was. The capsule was picked up by a military helicopter and flown back to the crash site to be gone over with a "fine-tooth comb" and was kept under guard until further notice.
