This paper addresses the issue of the health crisis that we are going through worldwide. For its development we analyze the role of knowledge institutions, subjectivities, crises and health care. Starting from the epistemologies of the south as a specific place of enunciation for the approach of the subject and based on Santos' main guidelines in reference to the cruel pedagogy of the virus, this work articulates related developments from the fields of philosophy, sociology, anthropology and psychology.
