Autorenporträt
Hizel Sagvan Hidayet was born on March 22, 1990 in the city of Zakho in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He started to write lyrics in the Kurdish language when he was 17 years old. His father and his oldest brother were the first people who had motivated him to continue writing. In 2010 he traveled to Germany and resided there for 3 years. This was a huge change in his life. He wrote his autobiography (The Crying Shadow) based on his own experiences in Germany. Currently, he studies English Language at the University of Duhok.
