Autorenporträt
Whilst the book is classified as Fiction, large parts of it are in fact true, and include eyewitness accounts of real events. Some half a century after these event, officials secrets notwithstanding, the truth about certain incidents can be given. Whilst many of the characters in the book are given their real names, in a small number of cases, names have been changed slightly to protect individual identities. The entirety of the book is therefore dedicated to the memory of John, without whose nurturing, things would almost certainly have been very different.
