Innovations in e-learning continue at pace, including the use of social software tools that encourage peer-supported learning. This work focuses on the exploration of innovation, to discover some of the latest developments in educational communication, the growing use of data in education across the rapidly changing field of learning analytics, as well as developments in the open learning experience. It presents current debates on the concept of openness and ethical issues related to learning analytics. This work aims to use the author's knowledge and experience to provide a context for synthesizing these points of view. You will read a report on the current developments and how they might be employed in the workplace, especially for education and training providers. Various recommendations favor and suggest a strategy for the production of OERs, suggest a commitment to other initiatives and propose a cautious approach. Finally, you will also discover a critical discussion of how learning analytics can be deployed to support learning and the implications of its use in the context of Higher Education and international training organizations as well as recommended success load map.
