Autorenporträt
In my younger days I worked as a farm laborer, house painter, janitor, and carpenter's helper. I fell in love with theater and worked for many years as an actor and director. That love competed with another: foreign languages and international travel. With many stops and starts I eventually completed my Ph.D. and became a college professor. Though teaching was my true calling, I also published scholarly books and essays, as well as literary translations. In my spare time I wrote short stories, some of which appear in Stories by Three Brothers. Now retired, I'm working on my first novel. I've been married for 30+ years and that union produced my pride and joy, a son, whose brilliance keeps the darkness at bay.
