Produktbeschreibung
This book is concerned with the origins and the dynamics of the Danish wind cluster, focusing on the competitive and technological patterns of its formation and development. It thus spans two of the most interesting and challenging issues in International Business: the rise of industrial clusters as a mean of focusing and concentrating regional competitiveness; and the emergence of renewable energy systems as sustainable successors to fossil fuel systems. The book is aimed at demonstrating the complementarity between clusters and renewable energy industries, drawing out the tools through which a cluster can trigger and enhance the development of an efficient and successful wind turbine industry. The work provides a description of the Danish wind cluster as a successful model of operating cluster, together with the demonstration of the structurally fundamental role that the government policies can play in bringing about such a result.
