British author Mrs. George de Horne Vaizey, whose full name was Jessie Bell, was born on March 4, 1857, and died on September 23, 1917. She was a well-known novelist who wrote a lot of books, especially romance and girls' school themes. When Jessie Bell married writer George de Horne Vaizey, she took on the pen name Mrs. George de Horne Vaizey. Her works were favourably received, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and she produced and published over a hundred books during her lifetime. Although she wrote novels in a variety of genres, she became well-known for her contributions to girls' school stories, which chronicled the adventures and experiences of young ladies attending boarding schools. Her writing frequently addressed friendship, growth, and the difficulties her characters had during adolescence.
