"The Deadly Gatekeepers" is a revealing expose' on the impact of modern day religious institutions on the lives of young American Christian black women. Not only does it expound on the powerful contributions made by women during the turn-of-the century America, but how their efforts have given birth to traditional proclivities that have caused great damage to the faith walk of many young women in the church. Terms such as "Covering," "Spiritual Mother-Father," and "Accountability" have been misused throughout the decades to keep many women in bondage without their knowledge; hence, the suffering and abuse that many young women commonly experience in these institutions. 'The Deadly Gatekeepers" will help prompt change in the hearts and minds of young black women throughout the country; how they care for themselves, other Daughters in Zion and most importantly, their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Autorenporträt
Sarah's Daughter was saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit as a teenager growing up in South Florida. As she has been exposed to the Godly and not so Godly twists and turns of ministry over the years, her concern for both the spiritual and literal safety of young Christian black women throughout the United States has grown considerably. For some time, Sarah's Daughter watched these women's cries for help go unanswered as they suffered from abuse and ungodly tactics within these religious institutions. Eventually she would build up the courage to write what she had been hearing in her spirit for decades. The Deadly Gatekeepers is a book that warns young women of color to focus less on traditionalism and denominational doctrines, and more on their well-being and relationship with their Lord Jesus Christ. The Deadly Gatekeepers is her first literary publication. Sarah's Daughter is a strong advocate for the socio-economic health of young women of color in the United States, and she strives to advance the kingdom of God in every area of her life. She currently works in the finance and banking industry and resides in San Antonio, TX.
