Jörg H. Trauboth (born 1943) was a staff officer in the German Air Force and a weapons systems officer instructor in the fighter aircraft PHANTOM and TORNADO. At the age of 50, he voluntarily resigned from service with the rank of Colonel. After specialized training, he was deployed worldwide to handle extortion and kidnapping situations. He was president of the European Crisis Management Academy in Vienna and president of the American Yankee Association, now GOPA. He has over five thousand hours of flight experience and survived three critical aircraft accidents. He is the author of the thrillers "Drei Brüder / Three Brothers" (2016), "Operation Jerusalem" (2019), "Omega" (2020) and the crime novel "Jakobs Weg" (2021).
