John Morgan left Wales in the early 1800s to find religious freedom from an oppressive English Church. He found a new life in Ohio where he wed Mary Shaw, a widow of George Long. The family resettled in Scioto, Ohio on Blue Run Road and founded a Methodist church across from their home. They had a number of children of which included the Methodist missionary and poet Robert Dennison Morgan. This resource uncovers the lineage of their descendants and provides research into Morganís Welsh heritage. Lorin Morgan-Richards (b.1975) is an author, poet and illustrator, known mostly for his children's books. Richards is also the Publisher of Celtic Family Magazine and has served as Executive Director of the Los Angeles St. David's Day Festival.
