Jane Lawton is a psychologist and educator with roots in the farmlands of Iowa and branches in Western Australia and Santa Fe, New Mexico. After graduating from the University of Iowa, she was offered a job in Australia. Living and working in remote Aboriginal communities, she developed a deeper insight into her adopted country through the story of The Seven Sisters. Exploring Africa, India, Asia, and Europe opened a global perspective. Moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico surrounded by 19 Native American pueblos, connected her to more myths and legends. Her career includes working in Special Education, lecturing in psychology, teaching in an ashram in India, and mentoring at-risk students. She currently resides in Mandurah, Western Australia.
