Loretta Jackson and Vickie Britton, sisters and co-authors, are drawn to out-of-the-way places, old mining towns, and the vast rangelands where the legends and history of the past live on. Before returning to Junction City, Kansas, Loretta taught English and Creative Writing to her Sioux students at Crazy Horse High in Wanblee, South Dakota. Vickie, now living in Hutchinson, Kansas, spent a number of years in Nevada and in Laramie, Wyoming, where she loved spending time exploring and writing. The two sisters have co-authored over sixty novels and numerous short stories, many with a Western setting and theme.
