This book is intended for teachers who want to discover and use images in the FLE classroom. It is a theoretical and practical presentation of the image. It shows the richness of the meanings of the image, the complexity of its construction and the analysis of different types of images. We see how it can be read and interpreted by moving from a denotative approach to a connotative approach. From a practical point of view, the book provides an inventory of possible didactic activities in the FLE classroom. At the end, several concrete examples of methodological exploitation are presented, based on images chosen by the author. Through all the proposed activities, the book becomes a real help for the French teacher who, thanks to the image, can arouse the interest of his students for their better participation in an oral and written communication.
