The sad and troubling fact is that when a child does go missing for nefarious reasons, the person who takes them is most often somebody they know. Even when the news will be the worst imaginable, usually police will have clues or tip offs which lead them hopefully to the living child, but at other times to their body. So it was unusual in that extreme that in the case of Kemberly Ramer no such information has ever made its way to the authorities. Not to local police, state police, nor the FBI who are also involved in the investigation into what is now accepted to be her abduction.
