Valverde Maclean has a passion for Australia. He has travelled widely throughout the country and has lived and worked in both the southern and northern regions of Australia. His interest in the Australian history, particularly the development of the inland, and the ramifications for the economic life of the nation are a background to his stories. He is also very interested in the present day changes and challenges to Australian culture. He presently lives in Queensland, Australia, near a small village, in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
