This book unravels the history of the Shangwe people and how they were displaced and marginalized by the immigrants (Vabvakure) from other regions of Zimbabwe and the massive effects of the gazzeting of the Mapfungautsi Forest area by the Forest Commission in 1954. The research unearthed that the Shangwe were displaced socially, economically and politically. The shangwe faced both direct and indirect displacement. However, despite being prone various forms of displacements the Shangwe norms, values, customs and traditional practices have remained intact.

Autorenporträt
I was born in Gokwe South District in 1990. Grew up in Kwekwe where attended grade one to three at Chana primary (1996-1998), Redcliff junior primary (1998-2003). Did form one to six at Cheziya Gokwe High School (2004-2010). Then enrolled for a Honours Bachelors degree in History with the Midlands State University 2011.
