This research aimed to understand how people experience the condition of being left-handed, trying to identify the characteristics of manifestation of laterality, understand the relationship of the person with his family, school and work concerning this condition. A theoretical study was conducted to clarify the concept of handedness what causes a person to be left-handed or right-handed, left-handed throughout history and conceptions about this condition. In doing this study, we learn from people's perspectives very rich aspects about what is to experience left-handedness. When we choose to study it with participants from different generations, we were able to follow the social and cultural aspects of each age and understand the relevance of the environment for the constitution of the left-handed citizen.
