Tibi J. Roman's extensive and diverse experience and knowledge in executive protection spans 35 years. He was designated as a Protective Services/VIP Security Subject Matter Expert by Canada's National Police force. This designation is required in order to validate officers' competencies when seeking promotional opportunities within Protective Services. Roman was initially seconded to work VIP duties early in his career and then worked full time in executive protection, bringing him to the present, where he has consulted and worked executive protection in the private sector. As a law enforcement officer in British Columbia, Roman held the following VIP/Protective positions: Protective Services Unit Commander; Protective Services Operations NCO; In Charge of the Premier's Protection Detail; VIP Security Team leader; VIP Security Section Team member; International Protected Person (IPP)-VIP security planner for the 2010 Winter Olympics; Facilitator for the VIP file coordination and Site Commanders course; and Syndicate Leader on the National VIP Security Course (Vancouver). Roman has been involved in providing security to a diverse group of clients that includes but is not limited to private citizens, consul generals, ambassadors, royalty, religious leaders, chief justices, judges, Canadian executives, provincial Premiers, Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Canadian Prime Ministers, Hon. Pierre Elliot Trudeau, John Turner, Brian Mulroney, Kim Campbell, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin, and Stephen Harper, Foreign Heads of State and Government and other internationally protected persons.
