About the Author J.Nell Ford is a retired educator, born in Lyons, Georgia, but now lives on the coast of southeast Georgia. She taught in the Georgia Public school system for many years before moving to South Carolina to serve as assistant principal. She later returned to Georgia to serve as Principal/Director of an Alternative School Facility. She is a graduate of Fort Valley State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Language Arts. She obtained her Master's Degree and Educational Leadership Degree from Cambridge College. She is the author of four other books: No Wooden Nickels: The Doodle Bug Story; A Visit to Doodle Bird Island; and Champ, Our Neighborhood Dog. She has one son, Demetrius, who inspires her daily. Her hobbies include photography, fishing, boating, quilting, and enjoying long strolls on the beach. About the Illustrator Angelique Liddelow-Johnson is a graphic Designer/Illustrator who is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she works as an art Educator, as well as a freelance artist. She received her Bachelor degree in Illustrations from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York, and her Master's degree in Media Design from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. Her vivid artwork lends itself to the textures and mastery in ink in this production.
