Daisy loves new and different things and places to explore. She is quick to act, many times without thinking first. Dusty usually goes along with Daisy's adventures. However, he, then, helps Daisy to resolve the problems she often unwittingly creates. In The Draco Twins Make a Discovery, the Draco Twins discover that Dusty is not like other dragons. He is different. At first the twins are confused when they discover Dusty's difference. They go to their parents to understand what is wrong with Dusty. However, the parents are not only confused, they are worried for Dusty's future well-being. In this first of a series, Daisy recklessly causes a major problem and completely by accident, Dusty, because of his difference, saves the day not only for sister Daisy but also for their parents. By resolving the problem at hand, the Draco family realize the value in Dusty's difference. The Draco family also realizes that Dusty has become part of an ancient family tradition, one that will change Dusty forever. Author Carol Basile Ph.D. is the mother of an Autistic son. She is a teacher, school psychologist and group facilitator. Carol has been in the field of education for 40 years and has had the opportunity to teach grades K-12, was a high school counselor and school psychologist. She has specialized in working with at-risk children and adolescents. Carol presently teaches psychology at an Orange County, California college.
