Autorenporträt
Helena C. Farrell is a produced playwright, a member of the Dramatist Guild of America and the Italian American Writers Association. Farrell was one of the recipients of The Student Achievement Awards for Excellence in Feminist Scholarship for The New Jersey Project: Integrating the Scholarship on Gender and is an elected member of the International English Honor Society of Sigma Tau Delta. Farrell completed her doctorate studies in literature with a concentration in writing. She is the writer of the original produced Off-Broadway comedy, Room for Rent. Farrell also wrote, The Longest Goodbye: A Memoir published in 2009. She co-authored the book, A Walk in Our Shoes, in 2013 with Geralyn Mancini. In 2017, Farrell was invited by Grand Marshall and Chairman of Barnes and Noble - Leonard Reggio and honored to be one of the one hundred Italian American authors to be a participant in A Celebration of Italian American Authors in the annual New York City Columbus Day Parade. Her 2020 novel No Trick or Treats was short listed for The Book Excellence Award. She lives in Glen Rock, NJ.
