Autorenporträt

Maureen Cochram was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and has lived in various locations in South Australia and Victoria. She now lives on the south coast in South Australia. She has had an extensive career in public education, including numerous leadership positions as Superintendent of Education, Curriculum Superintendent and School Principal.. She has a Master's in Educational Leadership and is a professionally accredited retirement coach. Maureen is passionate about assisting people who are experiencing life transitions and has established her own business. As a coach, mentor and speaker she works with a wide range of people and groups. She is a published author of a book of poetry, Acceptance: Caring for Others, Caring for Ourselves. She is the mother of three children and grandmother of five and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her current interests include reading, walking, family history research, writing poetry, gardening, and volunteering with community groups, including not-for-profit boards and organisations. Clare Eacott was born in the UK and moved to South Australia as a child. She has a degree from Adelaide University in classical art and architecture, modern and ancient literature, and a postgraduate qualification in library management from RMIT, Victoria. She has worked in library management and public policy. She now lives on the Fleurieu Peninsula, close to the beach. She has a son and a daughter, and since writing this book, she has become the grandmother of two girls and one boy. Her interests include writing, reading, travelling, organic gardening, volunteering, riding her motorbike with the Vello Fellows, spending time with family and friends, and walking with Rosie-bulldog. As a member of the Adelaide based story telling group Amaranth, she has contributed to their new CD of traditional Indian folk tales.
