Meetings represent a significant investment of time for employees and the organizations for which they work. Although there is a large body of literature regarding meeting management, there is relatively little research evaluating the return on the investments suggested in that literature. The purpose of this text is, therefore, to highlight the meeting itself as a topic of interest and establish a comprehensive understanding of meeting dynamics. Focusing on factors related to satisfaction with the meeting, including group identification, the findings suggest a new perspective on meeting dynamics emphasizing the holistic experience of participants was well as the characteristics of those individuals. This new perspective offers insight into the interpersonal dynamics within meetings and the associated outcomes, presenting valuable information for anyone who plans, facilitates, or participates in meetings of any kind.
