In this volume the question of static phonetic prerequisites to speech production is briefly examined. The central problem of the dynamics of speech production is addressed in Chapter Two. The Author: Stanislaw Puppel is University Professor of English Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. His contributions have focused on Polish-English contrastive phonology, teaching English phonetics as well as on psychomechanics of speech production.
