Dr. Jos Boys, Independent E-learning Consultant, UK Jos Boys was course leader for one of the first under-graduate programmes in the country to provide one lap-top per student which fully integrated ICT with face-to-face learning. She then worked as an instructional designer and researcher for the Centre for Educational and Technological Development at De Montfort University, Leicester. In addition to co-authoring this book, Jos has undertaken several evaluation projects for JISC including Managed Learning Environments, joined-up systems and the problems of organisational change. She currently works for London Metropolitan University. Professor Peter Ford, Emeritus Professor, University of Nottingham, UK At various points in his career at the university Peter has held the posts of Director of Information Services, Head of the School of Computer Science and IT, Dean of Science, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. He continues to be Chairman of the National Computing Centre and EduServ Ltd, and is a non-executive director of a number of other companies concerned with Education or IT. He also acts as an IT consultant for many organisations across the world.
