Joe Paatalo has taught English for over 25 years at both high schools and universities. An avid outdoorsman, he has canoed 1200 miles from Ely, MN to James Bay, Ontario, and has fly-fished throughout the American west. He currently resides in River Falls, Wisconsin, where he continues to write and help run a non-profit that teaches women and underprivileged youth how to fly fish. "The Eddy" is his first novel.
