This research focused on discovering socio-cultural attitudes, actions and reactions in the UK's AEC industry. The lack of literature targeting individual cultures in organisations drove this research to contribute to the AEC industry. Data collection was done by reviewing literature regarding BIM, Design Management, Motivation and Leadership and by using bespoke ethnographic methods targeting industry professionals. It was found that the reality of individual behaviours within organisations is very fragmented with subcultures within organisation's socio-cultures. In conclusion, a bespoke sociocultural leadership strategy and movement should be developed and successfully implemented paving a way to the 'ideal' BIM culture.
