The aim of the research is to investigate the effects of black toner pollution on the growth of Maize (Zea mays) and on microbial population. The period of investigation was seven (7) weeks. Two seeds of maize were each sown in 1500g of soil samples polluted with 1%, 2%, and 3% concentration of black Toner. The seeds were also sown in 1500g of unpolluted soil sample (control). Soil suspension of 4th dilution was prepared from 10g each of unpolluted soil samples and from soil samples polluted with 15%, 20% and 25% of Toner powder respectively. The Mean values of the Ph and Temperature of the soil samples used for microbial count are: 7.853, 29.6'; 6.81, 30.1'; 6.709, 30.6'; and 6.571,31.4' for Control, 1%, 2% and 3% respectively.
