Despite the growing literature on logistics service providers (LSPs), efforts to investigate the causal links between business processes and logistics competencies are limited and even not found in Ethiopian context. Responding to this gap, this research examines the effects of four business processes on three logistics competencies in the case of state owned logistics service provider, Ethiopian shipping and logistics services enterprise. In addition to the subject matter related contribution of this work, the methodology applied in this study will highly support the supply chain and logistics professionals and academicians. Thus, this research is highly recommended to all business, management and logistics & supply chain academicians and practitioners.
