Language learning requires the development and implementation of different strategies that encourage greater overall self-direction for learners like those of critical reading. In addition, one of the most important features in defining language knowledge is the knowledge of words that researchers have had different positions concerning vocabulary learning through reading. In fact, the application of critical reading strategies in the shape of applicable activities through reading course may lead to professional development in vocabulary knowledge. Multiple exposures of the words through class discussions, that capture, explore, and share experiences, will expose students to more words and frequent use of those words. Considering the amount of involvement the students may face through application of critical reading strategies, this may make the reading process more enjoyable and at the same time make them do away with traditional ways of making list cards and the like for reviewing the words out of context. Conclusively, the findings of the present book will have implications for learners, teachers, and materials writers in the realm of TEFL in particular and education in general.
