This research examines the effect of video model aided teaching on performances of classical guitar students at beginner level. The experiment was carried out on experimental and control groups made up of the 3. year students taking "The Optional Guitar" course given in Abant Izzet Baysal University, Education Faculty Elementary Education and Special Education Programs. The Guitar course was implemented on experimental group and control group with traditional method for three weeks. At the end of this period, audible and visual CDs of the same subject were given to the experimental group students. Research results indicated that the video model aided guitar teaching has a positive influence on holding the guitar, right hand - left hand performances and performances on a monodi
