There was no such holistic parent education program developed in Bangladesh which may cover all the areas of child development. To fulfill this need, the researchers administered "The Learning through Play'' calendars to design and evaluate a full-day extensive parenting workshop for the parents who had 0-6 years old children. This parent education program comprised knowledge, attitude, and skills related to positive parenting and carried out separately in groups of 20 parents of typically non-tribal children in Dhaka and 20 parents of tribal children in Rangamati. All parents were asked to respond to parenting knowledge, attitude, and skill questionnaire before and after the parenting workshop in which posttest measurement was collected after two weeks of the workshop, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for statistical analysis. For both the groups, it showed that the workshop of parenting significantly enhanced (p-value 0.001) parenting knowledge, attitude, and parenting skills, and fostered positive parenting. The manuscript was accepted for publication in March 2020.
