Obtuvo su licenciatura en literatura inglesa en la Universidad de Chittagong (Bangladesh) y la maestría en literatura inglesa en la misma institución. Más tarde hizo su maestría en Desarrollo Internacional en la Universidad de Birmingham, Reino Unido.
