In this study the question is investigated what socializing effect football has on teenagers in Moroccan prisons on the development of social skills and self-efficacy. In the theoretical part of the thesis, sport will first be clarified as a context for socialization processes in adolescence. This is followed by the presentation of the term youth, especially taking into account the socialization and personality development of young Muslims. Some young people do not or only insufficiently master youth-specific development tasks, so that this can result in the occurrence of juvenile criminal behavior with the consequence of placement in juvenile detention. The following chapters focus on the personality traits of social competence and self efficacy, which are used to statistically test whether and what socializing effect football have. For the investigation, the team sport football was selected as a sport pedagogical intervention, because this sport offers itself, due to the socialinteraction and exchange, to promote social competence and self-efficacy. The theoretical part of the work ends with the chapter on sport in juvenile detention.
