Questions have been raised regarding the academic preparation of high-school students for post- secondary studies. This book, therefore, addresses the effectiveness of the high-school academic program in preparing graduates for postsecondary studies. Alumni from four private senior high schools in Canada were surveyed regarding their perception of their academic preparedness. Their conclusions clearly put to rest, once and for all, the notion that private schools offer sub-standard academic programs, and that graduates are unable to compete with graduates from public and other school systems.
