Author Mary Kay Ferguson lives in rural Indiana with her husband, youngest child (of 5), 2 pot-belly pigs and 9 dogs. Brody and Buddy Bear's Big Adventure is her first children's book and was inspired by her oldest grandson who asked for a book about a certain bear he loves. When none could be found what else could a grandma do but write one. Mary Kay also figured that writing might help support her book addiction which according to her husband is too big already and needs a house of its own.
