Much of this Bahamian island's shoreline is given to sandy beaches, however, access to these beaches can be really hard to find. If you venture down a promising looking road, there is no guarantee that it will take you anywhere near a beach. A Note from the Authors When we published the first edition, over 20 years ago, several of the beaches were unnamed, so we had to give them names for the book. We are proud to say that some of those names have stuck and become semi-official. We see many people using those names in forums and other books.
